Essay Prize 2020. The Robinson College Essay Prize is open to all students currently in Year 12 (Lower Sixth, or equivalent) at a UK School. It is designed to give students the opportunity to develop and showcase their independent study and writing skills.
The Philippa Fawcett Mathematics Essay Prize. Philippa Fawcett Mathematics Information And Questions 2020. The Philippa Fawcett Mathematics Essay Prize is a new addition to our annual essay prizes. It is named after the former Newnham student who in 1890 was the first woman to obtain the highest mark of all candidates for the Cambridge.
The Independent Social Research Foundation and the Cambridge Journal of Economics awarded the 2015 ISRF Essay Prize in Economics to Professor Julie A. Nelson (University of Massachusetts, Boston) for her essay Husbandry: A (Feminist) Reclamation of Masculine Responsibility for Care.

The Lord Toulson Essay Prize in Law, in honour of the late Lord Roger Toulson, Justice of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, is sponsored by Herbert Smith Freehills. It is intended to give students a chance to engage with important legal debates and to explore the kind of issues that they would be exposed to in a Cambridge law degree.

Every year CSEP hosts its Essay Competition to encourage sixth form students to go beyond their curriculum and explore the fundamental questions society faces today. This year, we are delighted to announce our annual essay competition which is open to all students starting Year 12 or 13 (or equivalent) in September 2019.
In 2016 she entered “The Student Voice” competition, using her unique perspective as both a doctor and rare disease patient to write a fantastic essay tackling the relationship between rare diseases and mental health, entitled “It’s not all in my head!”. She was selected as our overall winner, which led to her article being published.
Girton’s Humanities Writing Competition is for students in Year 12 (or equivalent) who have an interest in the Humanities. Students will submit an essay based on one or more objects selected from the College’s small antiquities museum, the Lawrence Room. This competition is an opportunity for research and writing beyond the curriculum using.
The essay is published in the January 2016 issue of the CJE, Vol, 40, No 1 and the full text is freely available to read. The competition was funded by the ISRF which is interested in original research ideas that take new approaches and suggest new solutions, to real world social problems.
