How do I find a Cambridge thesis? All Cambridge theses are listed in iDiscover, which will indicate if there is a digital version of the work. Since 1 October 2017, all PhD theses are being deposited in electronic form to the University repository Apollo. Many earlier theses are also in the repository, but if they are not yet in digital form it is possible to request access to these theses.

Please note that theses dating prior to 2007 are stored offsite and require a notice period of 24 hours to be made available for consultation. Electronic Cambridge theses From the start of Michaelmas Term 2009 it is possible to access and deposit theses in electronic form in Apollo, the University repository. There are currently two ways of doing this, either as part of the submission process for a new thesis, or if your thesis has already been examined, you can deposit it retrospectively.
Reasons to redact material from your thesis If you are depositing your thesis under controlled access it is unlikely you will need to redact any material from your thesis because your thesis will remain unpublished. However, if you plan to make your thesis available open access you may need to remove material from your thesis for one or more of the following reasons.
